The acronym Youth PATH stands for Youth against proverty through Tourism and Heritage.However, from the Project's inception, the Barbados Project Team conceptualised a work-plan comprising activities which emphasised the alleviation of mental proverty and physical proverty. The team recognised that mental proverty is a crippling state of mind which had to be negated, and if successfully managed could more readily eliminate physical poverty, with out creating dependency.
